Privacy policy
Now Do This is a personal project. This page explains what the app stores, where it lives, and why. It's written plainly.
What runs on your device
The app keeps one small marker in your browser that remembers whether you have a checklist in progress, so the home screen can hold its place before the page finishes loading. It holds no personal information.
There are no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
When you sign in
Signing in uses an emailed code. You enter your email address, the app emails you a six-digit code, and you enter it back. The app stores your email address so it can recognise you and sync your checklists across your devices. It never stores a password, and it doesn't keep the code.
Your checklists
When you run a checklist, the app saves that session so you can come back to it. A saved session records which situation you chose, how far through you are, and timestamps. It also keeps anything you add yourself: a name for the session, free-text notes, and a date you anchor the session to.
Names and notes are free text. Treat them as you would any note you leave in an app — put in only what you need, and avoid sensitive details the checklist doesn't ask for.
Where your data lives
A very few services are involved in running the app. That's the whole list.
- The database stores your email address and your saved sessions. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- An email service sends the sign-in email.
- The web host serves the site and keeps standard request logs — the kind any web host records, such as IP address, time, and the page requested.
Fonts are served from this site, not a font network. Nothing here feeds advertising.
Sharing
Your data isn't sold, and it isn't shared beyond the services above that are needed to run the app.
Keeping and deleting your data
Saved sessions stay until they're removed. There isn't a one-tap "delete everything" control yet — to have your account and data deleted, email support@nowdothis.org and it will be done.
Children
This isn't a service aimed at children, and it doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything significant will be called out.
